If I don't have a smartphone, why use QR codes?

QR codes work for any kind of business that needs to make sales. Do you need to communicate with customers to make a profit? Would you like to have an instant link to your website? Would it help if you didn't have to answer questions until after someone was already convinced to buy from you?
Your phone may be a landline, it might be tied to the wall with a copper wire. It still works to get you business even if somebody with a cell phone calls, right? You do not need to own a smart phone to enjoy the magic selling abilities of a good QR code. You don't even have to own a computer to have customers buy from you over the Internet. (That's a subject for another article though.)
Once you start using QR codes in your marketing efforts you'll start getting calls from people who have a little more money to spend than the average person. Why is this? It's those expensive smart phones they are carrying around with them. With so many fascinating "toys" for them to try, it's almost an irresistible urge for people to point their smart phone camera at these "magic" QR codes.
In 2011 the upswing in QR code use was over 800% increase from the year previous! You don't need to have a smart phone, but you do need to sell to the new generation of cell phone users. It needs to be done for your business before the competition leaves you behind and in the dark. QR codes can be the difference between success and sales if you use them well, or the alternative is to be forgotten by these new kinds of customers.
Let's say you like your existing cell phone and you don't want all the fancy and expensive features and calling plans. You don't need web access on your phone. That's fine. You still don't need to have your own smart phone to use QR codes to enhance your business. You just need to test each code before you get them printed. That's all, just test the code to make sure it does what you want. For example, If you don't know anything about testing a QR code you can also just get one generated online at OrangeQR.Com or any one of many other sites which generate QR codes for free. There is a really nice feature about the OrangeQR.Com codes though, you can get a tracking report to assist you in learning when and where your code was scanned.
